Carver State Bank is a Black-owned financial institution based in Savannah, Georgia. Founded in 1927, it is one of the oldest continuously operating Black-owned banks in the United States. Originally chartered as Georgia Savings and Realty Corporation, the bank was renamed Carver State Bank in 1947 in honor of agricultural scientist George Washington Carver.
