6. Payment Processing & Third-Party Payment Platforms

Black-Owned Marketplace (BOM) allows vendors to process payments through third-party payment platforms such as PayPal, Stripe, and other authorized providers.

A. Payment Processing Terms

  • Vendors who use BOM’s integrated payment processing will have a 15% transaction fee deducted from each sale, including processing costs, platform maintenance, and marketing efforts.

  • Customers purchasing from vendors will be redirected to the respective third-party payment platform to complete their transactions securely.

  • BOM does not store or process credit card details directly—all financial transactions are handled through third-party payment gateways that comply with PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) regulations for secure transactions.

B. Vendor Responsibilities for Third-Party Payments

  • Vendors who opt out of BOM’s integrated payment processing may accept direct payments through their own PayPal, Stripe, or other merchant accounts.

  • Vendors using external payment methods must ensure secure and ethical handling of customer payments and refunds.

  • Vendors are responsible for complying with the terms and conditions of their chosen payment provider.

C. Disputes & Refunds

  • All payment disputes, chargebacks, or refunds must be handled directly between the vendor and the customer. BOM does not process refunds or intervene in payment disputes unless the payment was made directly through BOM’s platform.

  • If BOM is notified of repeated vendor payment issues, the vendor’s account may be suspended or removed from the platform.
